We live in an age of unlimited availability of information and constant connectedness to the internet and our electronic devices.The mainstream media are able to broadcast global events within seconds of their occurrence. Google and Facebook are shaping our collective narratives and increasingly we hope that scientific and technological advances will grant us a better understanding of ourselves along with the secrets of limitless consumption and hedonistic entertainment.Our growing reliance upon external information,social media and mainstream media gradually has obscured and eradicated a simple,innate awareness and connectedness to ourselves,others and the environment that all of us have long possessed.Inherent in this awareness and connectedness to nature are all the tools that we need to genuinely enrich our health( physical, emotional, spiritual) and the quality of our lives.
Therefore we don’t have TV’s in our house and also don’t offer 24/7 wifi connection to offer the opportunity to everyone to listen to the landscape and experience connection to themselves,others and the wild natural setting surrounding us. Drawing energy from the earth and wild nature, really committing to being where we are,here and now!
Dr.Zach Bush is seeing health as being” fully connected to nature” : being in resonance with the essential harmony of that from which we came and to which we shall return.
Let’s together reawaken our awareness of the life force energy that permeates the whole universe and untie the complex knots that bind us all in some way and keep us from being liberated to our fullest potential and flourishing. You are vast.You contain multitudes,raise your voltage ,your bright inner light,your radiant inner sun and tune back into sympathetic resonance with the underlying harmonious perfection which is sorrounding us. Like a fish in water ,we are swimming at all times in a vast ocean of energy ,a vast unified field of pure potential !

Humans in Harmony with Nature
Eco-Sanctuaries are islands of sanity, hope and practical bioregional self-reliance where humans and nature work towards flourishing in harmony together. We aim to start the process of the eradication of ecologically unsustainable patterns of thinking , working on overcoming the perversions of neurotic individualistic and hedonistic behavior which “can lead to strategies in which killing the whole biosphere becomes preferable to changing our own habits and patterns of thought”.
Eco-Sanctuaries aim to “bring us into a living relationship with the earth” again ,or as Wendell Berry said to “belong fully to this place.”, to consciously be dwelling and inhabiting one’s place .Re-Remembering what Paul Shepard calls “our wild Pleistocene genome” and what La Chapelle might call “our undamaged ecological self.” To experience the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. The joy that comes from being re-connected (re-ligio) to something bigger then our Ego-self and the beautiful altruistic selfless actions that become possible
Eco-sanctuaries are “Hubs of Resistance “ or “Patches of Sanity” that aim to resist the de-sacralization of the natural living process and the disconnection from the living under the name of institutionalized economic capitalistic development. We commit to enable wild nature and all its members to be “Naturing” and the modern disconnected human beings through total emersion in the natural living process to be “Natured” to afterwards design and act AS nature..
Gregory Bateson’s warning that humans “are learning by bitter experience that the organism which destroys its environment destroys itself,” in his essay “Pathologies of Epistemology,” he is addressing the need to overcome “errors in our habits of thought at deep and partly unconscious levels” which affect individuals, cultures, and ecosystems. The final remark of Bateson’s essay states that “there are patches of sanity still surviving in the world… some of the inarticulate efforts of our own young people are more sane than the conventions of the establishment”.
